    Hi Gents,

Thanks for your response(s). The reason i use that many lights is because i use SCROG and like to get light spread throughout my room. Would probably get digital ballasts and have them on 400w but were still talking 2.5k watts in that room.

Just wanted to know if that would raise any questions with the electric board? i have done an identical setup in my old house with an old meter and had no problems. Just wanting to know if the smart meter changes any of that.

    Regards
    Rigos

I've never heard of anyone being busted via the smart meter... Many of us have them, and its actually helped me visually see where the main costs are coming form in relation to my grow - namely the fan heater! lol

6x600w is around 15amps which is too much for a standard ring main in a house especially with all the other bits and bobs plugged in . Imho 3x600 is more than enough light for ten plants. Check jokers grow out eight plants under two 600 hps lights. Safety is the utter most important thing

    Hi British,

Thanks for your input and safety advice. I have run 5 x 600w before with a 10inch & 8 inch filter i had all the appropriate relays etc. Are you telling me i was at risk of burning down?

    Kind Regards
    Rigos

i would really try and get that smart meter out either way there is proof that they are causing many problems with humans from there radiation there emitting every 6 seconds does anyone remember the school kids that did a test with plants next to a wifi router ? well these meters are a lot worse and it uses the wiring in your home as a antenna google it, i got mine out as it was causing problems with my eyes and sinus tract, hope this helps everyone

Just had a quick look and could not find an article on how to remove one they were more focused on installing one.

Could you send me a link if you have the time please? Would be much appreciated.

Hey Rigos, Had a quick look and you're right, the articles that come up from the search generally try to get people to have one. The article was something form their FB page not that long ago at all but I have not been able to find it yet.

The formal term to use when speaking to your energy supplier is "Right to opt out", you as a customer has the right to opt out. As the meter was installed before you moving in, you have the right to have that meter removed. If it was me and they gave me lip I'd be more than happy to make use of the cooling off period and switch suppliers. Good luck.
