What happened to a good old punch up on the street corner or down the local field? What's happened over the last 20 years to people? If there was an issue between two people they got together and had a fist fight. No kicking in the head and stabbing like you see now.

If stop and search takes a knife and the person off the street, which could possibly kill you, your family or friends how could you not be up for it.

Min 5 years at your majesty's hotel 1st offence. Then +5 every other time =)

Complete bullshit and against constitutional rights here .

Give ppl a means to defend themselves like here and it will stop them dead in their tracks .
In uk if you defend yourself you get charged . Not us here . We have the Right to use necessary force to defend our lives .

We have the same rights in the UK... just our police service doesn't see it that way &, like you say, they will arrest the person defending themselves

the answer is not to take a knife or weed out with you. both are breaking the law.
like i said, knife crime is getting worse and the police need to get on top of it soon. the public wants to see results and feel safe. stop and search is a way forward in the short term. most police forces know who are the drug dealers and gang members so its sweaty bum time for them lol.

Personally, I'm ok with being stopped and searched at random. If I have weed on me it's my own fault. I know it's illegal, I know there's a risk to it. I don't think it's going to make a difference as I'm sure they stop and search for any bullshit reason anyway, but if you're in public and the police suppose you might be carrying a knife, they should be allowed to ensure you're not.

I don't have a lot of faith in the police, but I do think they need as much help as possible right now and there aren't any easy solutions. Parenting and bad conditions are to blame but kids or adults carrying knives need to be locked up for a long time and the police need the ability to identify these people before they pull the knife out and use it.

Just my 2pence cause I'm bored waiting for the oven to preheat.

20 years ago, we didn't have devices on our pockets worth hundreds of pounds mate. That's made a big difference. It use to be about fights, but nowadays it's about robbery and theft of personal goods.

Especially with the rise in poverty, these kids are out there trying to rob each other, it's a real shit situation for everyone.

Glad I don't live in London tbf lol
