Default Is energy supplier gonna get suspicious?

Hi all. I have done probably 3 grows so far without any problem,
That was using a 1.2 tent, a 400mh for veg and a 600w hps for flower.

I have since upgraded my tent to a 2.4x1.2 so am now using 2x 400mh for veg and will be using 2x 600hps for flower.

I think I am already going over the guided quote per month what the energy supplier gave me as I'm on a set payment direct debit each month.

Do you think that's enough for anyone to get suspicious if I start using 2 bulbs.

I am paying the supplier every month but I'm using more than their estimate.

Any ideas I could tell them??

Energy companies want you to use more power mate.so long as your bill is paid, they will be cool.
Once the bill is paid and you are not fucking with the meter or anything, your fine.
A spike caused by a grow is.no different than a little spike caused by someone buying an aquarium or a snake or a bigass TV or Xbox or something. You are grand

Think about it. They make their money from you using power. Why would they care if you are using even more?

The idea of leccy companies informing on their customer is a myth. Does not happen.

Ultimately if you pay your bill it's unlikely anyone will care.

If you submit regular readings they will probably ask you to move to a different plan, or you may encurr extra charges... depends entirely on the agreement you made for your flat fee tariff.

Your energy supplier really couldn't care less so long as you pay your bills

If you are on estimates then either get them to read the meter or submit a meter reading & the same for the next quarter. The only reason I say this is that sooner or later there will be a proper reading & who wants to be left with a huge bill?

as above they really don't care aslong as you are paying for it,
infact they'll probably want you running 6x 1k bulbs with heaters lol

a tumble drier costs a fortune to run for a few hrs, i really wouldn't sweat it,
pay on time and your golden

Yes people have ran into problems using too much electricity! Especially if you own a Smart Meter! If you have a lot of snow and run the lights to the point of making the snow melt off your roof you can bring heat on yourself also. Run your flowering lights at night, say 7:00 to 7:00 and run your veg during the day. I would only add the lights to the grow area as it needs expansion. Use one 600 watt for 30 days, and when the flowering plants fill up the grow area more, add the other 600 watt. I never start all the lights at one time. Same goes for the 400 watt lights! Start them at different times. I would just use them sparingly as you need them.

insulation would stop the snow melting also helps keep the costs down, i run my lights at night then heating through the day, easier managed if it's an option

But that's not the energy supplier being suspicious. That's down to the grower not taking precautions

I’m with everyone else, all the electricity company does is provide you a service... as long as you can pay for that service they’ll want to keep you around. Even if questioned about it, just say you’ve gotten a few new electronics for Christmas and they run constantly. The company doesn’t really have the right to question you though, as you’ve paid for it

In my line of work I can promise you they will be more than happy providing you are paying your bill on time and not fiddling. Don’t stress about it mate. There’s a lot of things I’m stressing over but the energy supplier is right at the bottom of my list haha

You could tell them if they ask that your mining bitcoin. That saps a lot of power. So much so that it’s banned in China because they can’t keep up with the power it was pullling at peak times.

So many explanations for high power usage.

I charge my plug in hybrid overnight is a good one. They take roughly 8 kwhrs to fill them. It's on 12 hour timer officer

Your provider would be more likely to start asking questions if your leccy were to suddenly drop right down, as long as you keep paying all will be golden, chill brother
