    Default coir not soil

    iv mixed my own soil..... turns out its 90% coir 10 soil/green/compost with added perlite.... i thought i was 100% soil. have I fucked up? only found coir when i checked online description as i went instore to buy and have just finished my mix :-/. any ideads if it will be fine and do i grow as a coir grow not soil

    my mix is a total of 225l of coir. 45l soil/peat/compost. 20l perlite and 1 inch and a half of gravel at bottom of all my pots

    Hmmmm, I'd treat it like light potting soil I reckon. Just for a couple of weeks, maximum. Plant the seeds into it, and just water at 5.8 ph, but no ec, as the soil would provide nutrients for a while.

    When the plant starts to look hungry, start adding nuits to the water

    heres another bit of info i tried to go organic?!?! this coir has 4 months of feed in it apparently... is that possible i thougth it was soil as coir doesnt hold nutes???? confused now

    ok heres the facts theres 2 bags 1 is peat free 1 is not on the bnq website i checked the descriptions. of both. the one i bought is described as coir online and the other as soil
