    Default Seeds

I’ve put 6 new seeds in bottled water for 24 hours then transferred them on to a plate with the same bottled water in between paper towel. I’ve left them for 48 hours in a warm dark place but nothing has happened. U can see a tiny slit where it’s starting to open but nothing else. Did I soak them in the water long enough. ? And can I put them back in bottled water if not. ?

If it's started to open, keep them warm and damp, and they will crack within 24 hours. It's best to just leave them alone though, if you mess with them too much it messes with temps and humidity and the seeds won't crack.

If they have started to crack open slightly this means the germination process has started just be patient and you will see a tap root eventually.

Man all that is a waste of time, its so much easier just putting them straight into soil half a inch deep

make sure they aren't sitting in water in the plates though,
    they'll simply drown/suffocate

damp & humid is what you need after soaking them but never wet

can take days and days, also make sure it isn't too warm or they'll dry out and die
