I think I'm sold on the 4a twin SMS one tbh. One thing the listing mentions is " They also feature a night time humidity function which adjusts the fans accordingly to keep humidty levels correct." but there's no dial for humidity, what would it set "accordingly" to ??

Ive used mountain air for a few years and honestly I wouldnt use anything else after recently buying a rhino pro.

also as far as the fan controller goes, buy cheap buy twice. spend the extra cash and a good unit will last years. Ive been using my sms 4a hybrid for 2 years and it hasnt missed a beat.
Thanks for the input dude, pondering that unit now...

It will boost fan speed occasionally up from the minimum just to prevent humidity build up. Its not a humidity controller as such. Setting min fan speed is enough to dial in humidity i find

It turns the fan up to the maximum you have the fans set at for a few minutes every hour to pull the humidity out. It has a light sensor to tell the difference between night and day.

The hybrid is a voltage step controller so it runs the fans silently with no hum. just for the no hum control alone its worth it.
