Shes got a wang!

Hey folks. So one of my bag seeds has thrown some bananas near the end of flower, I counted 3 total over the plant. Even though Im only a few weeks from harvest I cant keep her in my flower tent as I have some plants that are only a few weeks into flower.

I have moved her to my veg box to reduce pollination but its very blue light in there. My question is will she be okay finishing under 12/12 blue light to get to harvest with her 2 sisters?

this late into flower it won't do anyharm, isn't enough time to make S1 seeds
you got any girls just starting flower in there??

if yes you might wanna chop a little earlier also she'll be fine under blue

Not in the veg box, shes alone in there. She'd trash my next harvest if I left her in my flower tent for sure. 2 of those just now started throwing pistils.

there will be more bananas popping out, supposedly they are more potent when smoked also

It's common that a lot of strains these days will throw nanas late in flower to no detrimental damage to your harvest ,that's why I feel staggering a flower room isn't always the best practice,and I couldn't help you with the light question sorry

I personally wouldn’t put a flowering plant into 12/12 light cycle, it will start revegging.

The plant won’t mature properly, if that was the only option I would just chop it down.

Don’t you think some of the pollen would hang around the plants that have been vegging and pollinate them when they start to flower, because I wouldn’t rule that out.

Thats cool. Shes got around the same ppfd and space in the veg box by herself just a bluer light spectrum. Id leave her with her harvest mates if it wasn't for the newer plants in there.

Was an unexpected hiccup in my grow. Im just lucky enough to have been in the position of not having anything in the veg box. Another week and it would not have been available.

Ill tweez um just for kicks. Going to leave her by herself though as a measure. Ill take whatever the blue light may do to her over a seeded flower tent.

Its a photoperiod bag seed so the only difference in its lighting is the bluer spectrum. I haven't heard of blue light alone reveging a plant. I was under the impression it was the long period of dark that signals flowering.

I am concerned about whether the blue light will be of any use to the plant. So you could be right that it may just be as good to chop it now and save the electricity. I think blue light in late stage flowering has been shown to increase resin production but I think thats at CO2 and wa ave ranges well above what Im delivering.

The veg box is currently empty so she wouldn't pollinate anything in it and I can clean it out before starting new plants after she is done.
