    Yes I’ll be using 2 x 600w with parabolics.

I used 1 x 600w last summer in my 1.2m. X 1.2m with a 5 inch rvk and struggled to get temps below 30 degrees so this time I want to over do it and dial down with controller.

Also I’m in a bedroom and will be sleeping there hence why I’m going for a box fan.

I used to grow in same size tent ...anyway I've got a total room volume of of 4.8m3 you have a volume of 5.76m3 I run a 8" rvk a1 rated at 750m3 ( the L1 versions are rated at 950m3/h) but I run pretty good temps all year round using the lower powered a1,so even if you wanted to bat it really safe you'd only need to buy a fan and filter rated at say 1200-1300 m3/h

8" is ample for 2.4 m and you'll save yourself a lot in the process mate

I'm not telling you to use an rvk I was more highlighting what I use for space ..the box fans are very good and very quiet just will be a lot cheaper and more than ample in 8"

Well I enquired today about the gekko 8 inch rated at 1500m/3 and he advised me to get the 10 inch rated at 2500m/3 to be on safe side ?

He seemed to think where this type of fan isn’t directly exhausting like the rvks that they lose a lot of power and where I will have around a metre of ducting coming out of the top of tent to taking a lot of the power away ? What do you think?

Obviously a 8 inch is much cheaper than 10 inch so would prefer cheaper but worst thing would be to be underpowered come the summer when it doesn’t matter if you’re over because can turn down.
    Hope that makes sense ?

That didn't make sense ,but I've no experience of box fans mate but if they lose power how then can they be rated at a given m3/h surely that's the amount of air it can transfer regardless of design ect

And squaggy don't always listen to the folk in the grow shop either ...wait see what joker says when he replies to your pm perhaps, but if a fan is rated at a given m3/h I'd expect it to move something like it

Joker has advised me to go with the 8 inch 1500 rated one but he also advised me to copy his way of having the CF as well as the box fan in the loft to where he explained he ‘blows through’ the CF which is a bit confusing ?

The hydro guy is off eBay and they have a very successful business so not sure he’s trying to dupe me he just thinks that rvks exhaust directly so don’t lose much power whereas box fans lose power with the ducting etc

So I said 1300m3/h should do and joker has told you 1500m3/h and the your man has told you 2500m3/h ,I'm pretty sure you've seen jokes grow ...not much more I can add ,you pays your money and takes your chances...but I know what I would buy...but the 10" will work fine, and hey if you ever grow in a bigger space than the tent u have at least your gunned ready ...
