    Default LED Whats your thoughts.

    Morning all,

After last years summer in the UK being stupidly hot I am thinking of purchasing a LED for the summer months. One I am looking at is the Bestva 2000w. Anyone have any experience with it or are there better on the market. Dont know much about LED's so will be good to hear peoples views.

I have 3 120watt true power led grow lights in my set up. I started with one (£50) and got more as I got more confident in growing. My third grow yielded 80 grams dry I vegged for 4 weeks and topped them and into flower but my next grow will be vegged longer. Leds in general I think are great. I know they use the really expensive ones in professional setups with big warehouses and stuff and they yeild alot of great bud. I think that 2000w one you're talking about would be a killer light if it's a real 2000watt draw. Make sure you look at all the specs as a light advertised as a '1000w' may only be equivalent to maybe a 150watt hps. I hope this helps

How many plants are you going to grow with it? I got 6 plants under 3 lights this go round. With the light in question you could probably grow 6/8 plants under it but it won't cover all of the plants as they get bigger. you'll find the leds work better being closer than you would hang a hps because hps is too hot to hang low but led runs cooler(like 25c) so hanging them lower is a given but also because the light intensity and par drops of quite alot with only a few inches hight difference, you should hang it around 18'' at seed but them maybe 10" from the plants to give maximum light. I've done it like that and so far I see good healthy plants but I think a slightly longer veg is a good idea too.

I know very little about Leds but what I do know tells me to avoid this led light. The actual draw Is less than 300w. I’m sure the led experts will be along shortly to help you out. Take a look at the site sponsors invisible sun in the meantime

These guys are leading the way in lighting! I'll do the sales pitch! Lol. You're too humble, if you want quality LED for growing weed, these are the lights you want. Look at the Quantum Boards. You'll be amazed and have one in the post by the end of the day lol

check out quantum boards. My first run was under a 300w led which only drew 135w and my current grow is a 100watt QB and this thing is kicking the old ones ass so far and am confident will continue to do so.

Costs more but you'll get your money back in power costs and yields
