Interesting. Probably not worth me thinking about until I get another couple of grows under my belt unless the yields are greater!

I can just about grow and hit 1.25gpw last round. Theres loads of diaries round of peeps regularly hitting 1+gpw with leds. Seems only the highly skilled get great returns with HPS. LEDs are more efficient plus you can dim them & no bulb changes. They offer long term savings and pay for themselves after 1 run. Last grow cost me £70 in leccy & returned 300g.
Ive grown some great bud under HPS but done much better under LEDs ;-) I aint ever going back haha Check out our sponsor Invisible Sun for sizing & prices are sweet too.
Also good for the planet lol :-)
One thing I’m finding at the moment is how confusing LED lighting is! Quantam boards...COBs....3000k etc. It’s a minefield!
Always the way when there's plenty of options, it's like buying a PC or something!
Since your space sounds large enough, it might be worth just limiting your search to QB-type lights as that's in a sense the most up to date tech? Just to help simplify your research
In terms of spectrum warmth it depends on the diodes but generally 3000K or 3500K will see you through a grow.
I think the term quantum board is trademarked or something by the HLG company. I've taken to calling mine an LED strip build to avoid confusion

Ya going to be left in the dark brother. Ya have the same feelings for LED's as my dad did for mobile phones. I still remember him as they will never catch on , then he died years later with his iPhone in his top pocket all grown under invisible sun quantum boards
in a green and pleasant land
