Default How to dispose of Coco mixed with perlite?

What do people do? I've looked it up and all I can find is suggestions to reuse it. I imagine dumping it is a bit suspect as the perlite stands out.

Perlite is available in "normal" garden centres. I was taught to use it for chillies and cacti.

But reusing it would probably be less wasteful.

Another nod for reusing it. Seems wasteful to toss it.

Cheers all... pretty much the same answers as Google gave. I've got 2 plants per grow in 11 ltr pots with a 50litre bag of Canna coco pro plus and a 10 litre bag of perlite so planned on using that up. 2 months to dry out a pot of it first too... I'd do it if I had the space, but in my tiny garden and in UK weather, it's not an easy option.

If it goes in landfill I assume it's not an issue? Thinking I'll just throw a bit away at a time in dog poo bags in the bins on walks.

Do you have any potted ornamental plants?

Add half a part of compost and you would have a nice mix to use for some annuals outside the house or a tomoto plant or something. Just tossing out ideas!

I dont think tossing it does harm.

I've not had to dispose of coco and perlite yet as I normally use soil and perlite.

I just put the soil stacks alone in a black bag for the rubbish collection.

If I've got 4 pots to get rid of, 2 go outside the house on my right and 2 go out with the house on my left.

As long as there is only soil and perlite in the black sack, Job done
