I've got 2x 800x skylines. Pull 400w each from wall. They are top quality cree led's. Some of the leds are blue spectrum. But they did cost a bomb. I've used these from seed. Heads are like cans of stella. This photo was taken week ago. Still bit longer day 76.

If it's latest stuff, 400 wall watts produce more flower than 600 hps

There is no doubt that led grow good weed but ffs you need to word things a little differently mate ,folk are coming to you for led info ,reporting that 400w grow more flower than 600w suggest to a novice grower that these lights are some kind of cheat to good yields ,there's a whole lot more to growing than what lamps you hang above

What's your current light mate?

i'm in a 1.5x1.5 using a single 600w tried the 1k ballast/bulb but needed to raise it up to over 14'' to stop heat damage appearing on the crowns
so put back the 600w, it only sits 5''-6'' away so i get over 117,138 lumens at that distance since the 1k at 14'' is only 32,740 lumens

sometimes the bigger bulbs are infact worse,

different opinions but your both right sad/gadro
were here to grow weed, how you get there is always gonna be user dependant and opinions will always vary
would i swap to led? not with today's technology, will i in the future? undoubtedly yes but not until a single panel can out do a single hid

points to sadface with what you pull from 2x600w is magical stuff man, would take me a week to trim it man lol
what gardro does with his leds looks like great smoke as well

u both grow great gear using different approaches, so ur both right for what you do/use
doesn't mean you can't do it a different way but why fix something that isn't broken for each of you

lots grow with cheap leds and still get results so do lads using cfl's, horses for courses

I think we have all

But if you want my opinion £ for £ - oz for oz - quality of bud - over a 2-3 year period in a 1.2 x 2.4 tent expecting all lighting equipment to be then be obsolete or old hat.

Taking into account repairs replacement bulbs, initial outlay, electricity, total weight and quality of bud the led would win over hps only on slightly better bud quality against hps but then you do have the investment at the start

My money would be on 2 x 400w HPS with a 315 cmh daylight in the middle to beat both. Low initial investment, same leccy as HPS probably better yields and better quality bud than both.

I havnt done the maths by the way it is only speculation.
