    Hi mate, welcome along

You can do but it'll kill the soil... you're better off growing in coco with it

When you say kill the soil do you mean killing organically. I've been using canna a+b for a while with no ill effects, only use it at 1/2 ml per litre then get it up to 1ml for the remainder, sometime a little higher if there showing they need it

When I go synthetic i use botanicare pure blend. Instructions says it is good for soil, coco and hydro. I have used it with all 3 mediums.

He meant the nutes is not good for the microbiome that is IN the soil. If coco nutes is all you have, then run with it. There's just one other way to find out how it all works out.

Either way there is no cut and dry, hard and fast rule that sets in stone "Thou must ...".

One of the many points to consider is how are why the coco nutes are formulated the way they are, and applying that to soil, some of the elements may not work as nicely with the plants, given the different substrate. In other words, if you run into problems, they will be trickier to solve, and may take longer. There are certain times in a plant's life cycle that is more time critical than others. Is that a risk you are willing to take?
