What was the response from the fire department when you told them what had happened?

Once they got off the floor and wiped their tears, they were quite stumped.

2 choices, drill out the 2 locks on the side of the bin or get him out the same way he went in.......

Turns out, we wasn't quite as lost as we thought. After 10 mins of us blowing our whistles, 2 guys in high vis jackets emerged from the darkness. I'm embarrassed to say that there was a pub about half a mile down the hill from where we were.

It was a scout trip, I was 15. There was a weird kid and he was clever. He told us to get him a coke can full of sand, a toilet roll and a half a ltr of petrol. We'd spent all week letting off shitty French bangers and he said he could do better. He handed my pal the coke cam and we set off up the gorge to a shallow cave we found earlier. We made a wick from the toilet roll soaked in petrol, to the can and out of the cave.

Well fuck me did it go off, it blew rocks the size of washing machines down the cliff into the village. We ran, later that night the police arrived with my mates hat, along with his name printed inside.
