Default Question about lighting and help with intake

Ok so is there a reason why I see a lot of people going 400w MH to a dualspectrum/hps 600w in flower?

And I’m gonna be using an old carbon filter on the intake of my 1.2x1.2x2 tent. My extraction is a 6”rvk L1 with matching rhino filter. What sort of intake fan should I be looking at?

400w is enough for veg & the MH gives a better veg result... and then it's crank all dials to the max for flowering

A 5" fan & controller is probably best

And would I benefit throwing in the 600w mh a week or two before flip before switching to hps, I plan on running the mh a week or so after flip

    Mate

I go mh 400watt until mid to late flower then switch up to 600 hps to finish her off seems to work a treat you get extra benefits like reduced stretch and bigger yield.

I’m no pro but it works for me after a couple of years of trial and error

    Happy growing
