    Default 400v ballasts advice/help

I’ve been given two 400v 1000w digital ballasts(240v mains powered)
One is a Gavita 1000w de pro

Other is a Adjusta-Watt e lite digital ballast.

Both have been given to me missing the cables which brings me to my question.

I’ve seen a listing for the latter that shows a cable with some sort of small box(transformer perhaps?). I’m hoping somebody on this forum have this equipment as I wouldn’t want to just throw a standard kettle type plug into them?

single to 3 phase convertor is what you need but they're not cheap

You would be looking at about £150 for a 5KW

Are you sure as I’ve seen 3 phase converters in the past and they are far bigger than this thing?

    This suggests it’s converted internally?

You are correct, ignore previous post. Seems it converts 240v to 400v within the ballast...kettle lead it is then

Didn't even know that kind of ballast exists...would be a bit skeptical on the claims but lets see what you can do with it

Neither did I buddy but gotta love a freeby! Got a blue lab ph pen, and a decent light meter too along with an 8” gorilla acoustic fan 8 gang contractor box which I’d probably never use! And an sms 8amp hybrid fan controller
