EC meter it is then! I need to sort out a better run off solution as well... Saw someone with a great idea, cheap wet vac from argos and take it back for an exchange when it breaks! Probably the only time I will buy the cover then

Sea is mainly messing about in a little kayak when there is waves and getting exercise in a longer one when not. North sea as well so its cold, windy and a beautiful mucky brown :P

Well... my poor yellow auto seedling was sitting in 4.5ec :P So I think the EC meter should have been on the "absolutely necessary" from the start! Rolling one to go and sit the next half hour/hour to flush out the others :P I hope that is the worse of the lot... I don't think it will be lol!

Crap..... literally :P Trick is to keep your mouth closed and know the rest of you can be washed, scrubbed and disinfected. I tell myself it is "the silt" and not sewage, just like I say to others that I don't smoke THAT much

So much information here guys, I have work tomorrow and I am still up reading it! So many problems have been encountered before and the sticky threads have some amazing guides for an absolute novice such as myself. In others I read peoples issues and then sat in awe of some the creative solutions that are to be found! Problems I have never even thought of are hidden away like little gems. with the solutions buried just a little bit deeper within easy reach.

Considering I have to keep my mouth shut about this to all but a helpful few in real life having this forum is a blessing. Thank you for all you guys keeping it alive
