My approach to this is to break the breeding cycle. The adults fly so keep an eye out for them if you see tiny black flies round the base of the pots then its defo fungus gnats. I use raid fly spray to get rid of these annoying little bastards. Just a short blast round the base of the pots will kill the flyers on contact preventing them laying eggs in the medium thus breaking the cycle. I treat every couple of days for around 10 days that's usually enough to completely eradicate them...Don't spray directly on the plants just round the base of the pots...

    Regards BL
    Thanks for the details Bud

Couple of yellow sticky traps to catch the already flying ones, and the problems should be gone in a week. If the plants need watering try just watering from the bottom for a couple of feeds.

    Default Bugs be gone!

Thanks again everyone, luckily my Empress had some Raid spray

Sprayed the tent, lots of dead bugs on the floor now, sprayed the base of the seedling pot, the base of the pot she will be potted up to and the top of the pot she wil be potted up to.

Gonna scrub the tent then put diatomaceous earth on top of the final pot and dry it out in there.

Thanks again for advice, wouldn't have known what they were or what to do without you all!

That's a lot of dead bugs. Get some yellow sticky traps like Macky said. They are great for early detection.

Thanks again peoples, all cleaned up sticky paper hanging, gnats seem to have gone. Will know after she's been potted up into the soil that was infested and growing a while. The soil smells like animal shit so it's a prime breeeding ground.

Will get some of those insects that eat them if they come back.
