Pests!! Helppppp meeeeee!!!!

About 5 days ago I noticed a little black bug flying near my plant, I killed it and have been keeping a very close eye for pests since. Went to water the plant last night and I see its got what looks like munch marks all over one of the leaves. Left it last night as it was to late to sort, but ive now came back today and its spread a little more.

If anyone could give me an idea of what Im dealing with and what i need to fix that would be great

It looks more a feed/deficiency issue but as you give no details I can't help

Using coco
300w led
24h light
water ph 5.8 with a run off of 6.0
water ec is 0.8
nutrients are 11ml A & B (each), 10ml RHIZOTONIC, 13ml CANNAZYM to 5l water, with an ec of about 1.8 All Canna Nutrients (folowing the canna guide for coco)
temps are between 20c and 25c varying
humidity 30% - 50% varying

I did think i had a cal mag deficiency a few weeks ago on the very botom leaves but i flushed and it appeared to go, also I thought as I have hard water cal mag wouldent need to be supplemented?

Black flying bugs could be nothing more than fungus gnat or black fly...get some sticky traps but as M_C says...looks more like a feed issue & more details are needed

Sounds like over feeding... that is more feed than I am using on my flowering plants. What is the EC when all mixed together... and what is the EC of your run off?

Before nutes my ec is 0.8 after all the nutes its 1.8 runoff is usually about 1.9/2.0

To me it dosn't look burnt, the only burn is right at the botom and hasn't got any worse since flushed it last, but the big leaf thats now brown looked like it had the top layer peeled off (or eaten)where its brown now, its also came on a bit quick compared to previous issues with overfeeding. This is what it looked like last night, the lights where on so its hard to see

However I have flushed it out today and will pre mix a new batch, what sort of Ec should I be aming for? considering I live in a hard water area?

Your nutes are coming out more concentrated than they are going in. This is because the plant just can not deal with the sheer amount

Try (after your flush) setting the nutes at around 0.5 EC over the 0.8 EC of your tapwater, or 1.3 in total & see how you get on

I know one thing, I’ll never put anything off till tomorrow when it comes to the plants that shot could be the difference between losing the lot!
