I can see the reason for different views...depending on your medium, veg time & the particular strain you're growing, you could possibly get away without nutes if you use decent soil & short veg time as it will provide for upto 4 weeks...upto being the operative word, again strain dependant and how hungry they get.

Better to have and not need & all that

    Agree 100%

I made the mistake of thinking I could drop the grow once in flower and actually that wasn't the case lol. Deffo better to have some to hand should the need arise

Or use a 1 part veg and bloom feed like Organicus and problem solved lol

A lot depends on the pot size & quality of the soil... but I'd rather have Grow nutes & not need them than the other way around

thanks for the help people i'll order some now i've been looking at the old timers nutes, am i right in thinking the grow are veg and the bloom are for flowering (i have no gardening experience at all lol) i'm growing a rqs quick one in plant magic plus supreme soil and a 10 litre fabric root pot, it's 14 days old today, i've not had loads of problems but a few days ago it started leaning and then got pretty bad but i've put a bit of string round it and carefully pulled it back a bit and today it looks better, i didn't water the soil first like a noob before planting but i think she's going pretty well, had problems with seedstockers northern lights seeds twice so i'm germing a barneys farm blue cheese now fingers crossed i don't mess this one up, i have seen on here and most sites one of the main mistakes growers make is overwatering so i've been trying to be careful when watering them and misting them, my light is a mars 300 and i'm wondering when to add my big dual spec 300w cfl, here's a couple of pics from yesterday with the lights on i tried with the lights off and i couldn't see s**t so i'm getting a stronger light for the bedroom
