    Default Quick soil mixing guide

This is my soil mix which is very similar to Redz however his is a little more complex.

This rough guide should let anyone build a decent living soil

    Base mix:

    7L Moorland gold peat alternative
    5L perlite
    2L Rice hulls

    Amendments :

    300ml Neem meal
    300ml krill meal
    150ml gypsum
    200ml oyster grit
    300ml crab shell
    200ml malted barkey
    30g Mykos
    30g Ag6 humates

    Step 1

    Clean the fucking bucket lol

    Step 2

Ok id like to quickly update this guide with some added information now I have grown with this mix for a while.

The matter at hand is do you need to cook this soil

Well.... The answer is yes... And... No... Lol

    Strictly speaking no you dont...

If you plant a cover crop and a bean in a plug of seedling mix then you can grow a plant no problem....

But it will end up a bit hot and you will get some mild N excess symptoms, mainly dark green amd clawing. This will be strain dependent regarding severity Im sure.

So Yes you do really need to cook this soil...

My suggestion is if you are not super impatient like me then you should plant a cover crop 2 to 4 weeks prior to using the soil and allow this to take the heat while the soil cooks.

Hope this helps a little further
