Default Where The Hell Are My Trichomes?

This is an RQS Diesel Auto Fem in soil. Today is her 70th day of life. She's been very healthy the whole time with a close to optimal environment. Progress thoughts? Is this going to be some weak ass bud? There are barely any trichs and the ones I can find are nearly fucking microscopic and look like they're laying down and don't really have an identifiable head. I'm starting to think these are some shit genetics, they were freebies after all. Worried I'm gonna be smoking like it's 1979 for a while.

Hi mate your buds are way off being ready yet I’d say, far too early to be checking for trichomes, loads of filling out to do and then white hairs need to colour up

Thanks for the feedback. I'm gonna go ahead and switch to 12/12 then. See, the trouble is I have this other huge girl in there that is not autoflowering and I need to get her flipped. If doing that messes this one up, then so be it. I'd rather the bigger one flower properly. You think switching lights to 12/12 on an auto mid-flower is gonna hurt anything? Light schedule has been 20/4 from seed.

Well I’m guessing you have a small space and you are doing auto-photo-auto etc? I would keep training the photo and let the auto finish, that’s what I do, got an auto about 3 weeks away and a triple cheese photo ready to flip but I just use the time to train. I would keep your light schedule then maybe cut it to 16/8 when you are about 2 weeks out then flip. Why waste all that time and chop far too early? Chill!

This is solid advice. I'm just a little concerned because I thought my other plant was an auto (it may be but it's still just straight vegging at 70 days). And so I didn't train it much at all to begin with. For the past couple weeks I've been supercropping and it's just getting bushier and bushier, really overtaking the whole tent. It's already like 4 feet tall, so I don't think my space is gonna be able to handle it after another month veg.

I appreciate the positivity. Just a bit stressed because I feel like I'm running out of space. I hope you're right.

Lol if that is the photo to the left, you better get a bigger space. It looks well progressed in veg, i always expect 3x size after flip some strains are only 2x.
    Looking forward to updates.
