I'm not too concerned about posts I make, it's more the pics and also because being admin, my stick might be a bit shittier compared to a normal member should the shit hit the fan.

My first 3 years here were not protected at all, not even anti virus. Didnt cause any problems as far as I know

Cheers mate, i dont have a computer or anything. Solely use my phone so... Do the VPNs work against the network providers also or just when using wifi?

It is not often tha I'm here whilst using a VPN... I should, I know...

But read on Investigatory Powers Act 2016 & you'll see why VPNs have such a need in today's (UK) society

Ive never used one as of yet, i keep thinking i should, but i have this feeling of the grass being greener on the other side, but also feel it could be like leading sheep to slaughter, i know this is probably not the case but i dont feel i have anything to hide, ( in Canada) so my photos of my hobby, don’t bother me.
Trusting others to protect me is not something i am use too doing.

Now i will back to making my tinfoil hats, lol

In the UK our ISPs are required to keep records of every page we visit - hence our interest is VPNs....

I believe i am being tracked as well in Canada but feel that whatever i do they can do better. I am not a techie person but would the vpn provider still have the ability to track and store your info, or does the vpn make it so even they cannot see your movement, because i thought everything left a trail.

I have no knowledge of how they work. If i was an admin i would do it to protect other people’s safety. So i truley understand.

I have been sold insurances all my life that i pay for, but it seems when i need to use it there is always a fight or a loophole that they try to use.

I have an ipad with fingerprint security, after a quick search it shows that apple doesn’t use as much of the comparisons to truely make it secure, yet alot of people think that it is a secure system.

If you guys say it is worth it for the added security i will be looking into in more depth, i would trust people in these forums before the business advertisers. As already shown in this thread there are some that are lacking behind giving the sense of security but not actually providing it.

It's certainly worth looking into, often there are free trails, give one a spin

...but! Always look for one that doesn't have logs!

I was using Turbo VPN at some point and it worked fine for me but I didn't use it for a while, so not sure how it works now... It was definitely one of the better ones when it came down to free VPN's, but the premium version was apparently not so good compared to the other paid VPN's.
