    Default DWC root rot maybe?

Im new to dwc. Recently my plants have had patches of there roots turn brown. I attempted to treat them with hydroguard. its been five days it hasn't gotten any worse but the browns still there. this all started because a fan went and let the room get stay at 75d-80d for three days. Since then I have lowered the rooms temp to 63d-68d. To help prevent root rot. Im running six 5 gallon dwc buckets each with there own airstone. I recently turned the air all the up. The ppm is at 700 on the 500 scale setting. My ph is 5.8. im running the botanicare organic product line with hydroguard and alchemist stout msa. water temp was 62d this morning but the room temps are low in the morning as the air is colder. although im attempting to keep them low.
my water before I add is 190 ppm and 7.2 ph. I almost attempted to treat it with h202 this morning although im told not to because my nutes are oganic. I was thinking I could treat them with h202 and after a few days wash rinse and mix new nutes and water. but again I have no clue what im doing Lol. Should I just leave them alone? Any help is appreciated Thank you. Click image for larger version.

Unfortunately I think it could be mate especially the first pic with the black bit in the roots and the way the leaves are drooping down. Are they drinking much?

Don't go near H2o2, keep using the Hydroguard every 5 days and get some microbe tea on the go then pour this directly on the roots.

I get brown roots from botanicare. I have never had root rot but I recall reading that root rot is slimy. Is yours slimy? Kinda just look like brown from the feed. Are you using Karma? I suspect Karma is the main cause of brown roots in this nute line. Just fyi, nothing organic at all about botanicare. Naturally derived synthetics are still synthetics.

IMO you are feeding far to high mate @1.4ec especially if you have lots of air going to them. I feed 0.6 in veg and 1.2 max in full flower but my background is only 0.2 ec.

If you burn the roots it lets the rot in.

Could just be your nutes as CD says my roots are brown. It's the black I am worried about and the fact that your roots are not all the same colour as they would be with staining.

There is one that is barley drinking at all.(the smaller one near the fan) the rest are drinking a lot. as far as the ppm levels at first I followed the bottle. Which left me at 1250 ppm. Since then I have been trying to slowly lower the level. But im not really sure where I should be. I read a lot of differing information. Yes I do use karma and grow and cal mag and the stout msa.

This is my recently started dwc roots. Just been about a week now.
Google has confirmed that root rot should be slimy and smelly.
I hope that you just have nute stain!

Is there any light getting into your pots through the clay pebbles or air tube? You need some circles on top of the pots and black tape on the 6" of air hose that enters your pots (if you are using clear air hose).

I run RDWC so don't know the ec for non recirculating DWC but I would do a change out and just feed very low ec if at all for 24 hours just add the Hydroguard.

It done matter what type of deep water culture your doing every plant takes a different ec/ppm forget what people say there’s is at you need to find your own sweet spot and what people are saying is right in my opinion start lower and wait fir your ec to drop before upping it!
I personally think it’s the humics they add in organic nutrients that’s making your roots brown, but you will notice a bad smell if it’s rot!

Scrap Botanicare . Garbage . Only use their Hydroguard .

Go for Remo Nutrients . Best stuff on the market .

If mixing in res . Dont use The velokelp and the bud candy . They are semi organic and will sludge up .
