Default Deficiency OR Excess of Calcium - How can I know?

    Hi fellow growers!
This is my first post and first grow.

My plants are just about 4 weeks old. (RoyalAk - auto)
    planted in WILMA system. (8pot)

In the last few days, I started noticing some small orange spots on the very bottom leaves.
Also on the very bottom of the stem - I am seeing some strange white dots. (both of the "problems" seen on the photos attached)

Could this be a calcium deficiency // Or the opposite - excess of calcium? The tap water I am using seems to have plenty of calcium - Click image for larger version.

the white stuff on the pebbles, it seems to be a layer of calcium deposit - that shows up just by washing the pebbles with tap water and afterwards drying them.
At the same time, EC of the tap water is only 0,1 (about 50 ppm) - could my water contain excess of calcium but not much of other minerals?

I am really baffled and would be very grateful if any of you experts could help a novice.
Should I worry about it or am I overreacting?

    Now for my setup:

I am using 20-hour light cycle. (LED)
WILMA 8 pot system - hydro.
    Nutrients GHE Flora Trio -
    Growing Phase
    - Micro - 1,2 mL/L
    - Gro - 1,8 mL/L
    - Bloom - 0,6 mL/L
    - EC (ms) 1,3 - 1,8 (when EC low - adding GHE gro)
To lower pH, I have been using GHE Down (to get to 5,5 - 6,5 // target 5,9)
It is phosphoric / nitric acid based, I have read somewhere to use nitric acid pH down.
    (will try this)

    2 AirStones inside the tank
    1 Aquarium heater inside the tank (68°F // 20°C)
2 small fans just above the plants
1 Outlet Vent (targeting 40%-60% humidity in the tent)

    Watering
Started with 15 minutes every 3 hours - and steadily increased to 45 minutes every 2 hours.
    (watering when lights on)

    (or any questions)

    Cheers!

I thank you for the response - lowered EC to 1,1 - 1,3 ( Would you say this is low enough, what would be your recommended EC - 4 weeks old)

    Best Regards

0.9~1.0 will be plenty given your background Ec and the fact that its DWC where the roots have constant contact with the nutrient solution....

Sorry I should have said....You will most likely need to supplement cal-mag given that low background Ec but I would administer as a foliar feed once a week rather than add it to the feed solution because it can give you a misleading Ec reading...

Thank you for all the info and recommendations.
About Foliar feeding - I am thinking 1mL/L (Ph 5.8 to 6.5) - Once a week, lights off.
Are my amounts and pH value correct, can I use ATA Calmag (Atami)?

    Again, thank you!

1ml per litre will be fine or just follow the directions on the bottle for foliar feeding. No need to pH adjust for foliar feeding....Best to spray just after lights on when the plants stomata are open that way it gets absorbed faster, just raise the light if its close till they are dry so as not to scorch the leaves, it don't take long for them to dry out.

    Current EC = 1.0
Will use Foliar feeding tomorrow for the first time. (cal-mag)
They are progressing quite well (in my opinion), but I started to notice something strange on the very top leaves of a single one.Click image for larger version.

Does any1 know what could it be? Could it be the (LED) lights - I know I need to be careful about the position (not getting them too close) -maybe one got a little burnt, or is it something else. (some nute burn from before I lowered EC?)
Everything else looks good to me.

Thank you for all the help!

It has been 1 week since the last post.
From what I can see, they are now in Transition/EarlyBloom phase.

I am thinking of slowly increasing EC to about 1.4
What do you guys think, is it high enough - should I wait a bit?

    Thank you!

1.4 seems high . But i would raise your calmag a bit . Them new leaves are thin and twisted . Classic sign for begining of deff .. especially MG def .

Your plant tips are slightly burned . Lower feed and balance that calmag
