My tallest cola is about 2 inches away lol... not ideal but she's coping better than my stumpier plant did as she got a bit bleached.

Agree theres too much fear around leds. Perhaps the older technologies spread it.

I usually get to 15inches but you can only do if its gradual increments ( google photoaccumlation if interested).

At 100000 lux you are wasting electricity unless CO2 is added. Yes the plants may take it but its not making them bigger.

You will reduce your gram per watt ultimately. What you gain in ppfd you lose in coverage.

Also consider sativas and indicas and how they tolerate the high par.

Its good to see the experimentation but this is not an led debate really. Ive seen folk on here run 2.4KW hps in rooms and had same outcome as 1200w.

Can you elaborate more on sativa vs indica and how they tolerate par?

Latitude basically. Indicas (and ruderalis ) are higher, sativas closer to equator so genetically they can handle more light.

With any light you should start of high and let the plants pray to the light, then slowly increment down until they flatten out. A recommended light height is only a guide you need to learn how to read the plants.
