It's never too late to benefit from training them. A scrog may not be as neat and tidy as it would have been started sooner, however, spreading the plants so more surface area is benefiting from the light.
A net, stakes and ties will all do you well, but a net can cause problems when going to flush if you're like me. I take my plants and put them in the bath to flush at the end so it's easier for me to stake and tie them individually
When you do things right, people wont be sure you've done anything at all.
