Default Be a Detective! Figuring out where you put things when you're high

I decided to move part of my stash to make it more accessible, so I put it in a decorative bag that's been sitting on my clothes dryer for months. It had a small bar of soap. Hiding in plain sight? Brilliant!

Then, I got paranoid that someone would do laundry and notice something different about it, so I moved it again. It turns out that someone DID do laundry before I woke up, so I feel like I made the right call.

Now, I can't remember where I hid it. Yeah, of course, I did this while I was high.

This sounds like bad thing, but it really just means...

I get to be a detective!

There's a bit of a thrill in this: return to the scene of the crime (the dryer), then look for clues that would help me to solve the case. It's fun when I figure out what happened, but somewhat less fun when you do this to someone else's things and they're expecting you to find it quickly.

The case is still on-going, but I am determined. I should probably look for it when I'm not high, but where would the challenge be in that?

    Ask Karen, she'll probably know....

    Ha...my wife's name is Karen!

And, no, she had no idea...she just looked at me like I'm insane.

Does this make her a suspect? Hmm.....

We have kids. Teenagers. The whole point of my "trickery" was to hide it from them.

And, I found where I hid it: on top of the refrigerator. I only found it after getting high again (to catch a stoner, you have to think like a stoner).

I decided after all that to move it to a different location...but do it when I'm straight, so I can be conscious when I hid it (so I can find it when I need it).

Teenagers?! O good lord man there is no safe place to hide anything. Bottom of a laundry basket maybe?

In the cupboard where the cleaning stuff is, they'll never go in there

Actually, here's the perfect place to hide things from teenagers: the vegetable drawer in the refrigerator. No self-respecting teen would dare eat something that's not heavily processed.

"Your stash is safe with us!" said the beets and the turnips.

Vegetables are your friends, kids: they're good for you, and they taste great when deep-fried. <-- I do eat healthy most of the time, but there are times to relax and not take things so seriously.

So, like I said: hide it where they won't dare to look.

Brilliant thinking...if there's one thing that teens rebel against more than healthy eating, it's good hygiene and cleaning habits.
