    Default Veg tent

I'm wanting to start up a small veg tent for 4 plants or so. What am I best going for abd what sort of cheapo lighting that doesn't cost much to run should I use?

You are going to need at least 400W, so an MH-HPS, or an LED that pulls 400W. JMO

Just make sure you still keep your numbers down . They'll try make it look worse in court if running a second tent for vegging. Truth be told though it's just a postcode lottery anyway.

Great advice from Hotshot there Sarah, i've always brought my wee girls up first under my T5 then a 400W MH with really good results though a good LED would be cheaper on the leccy, all the best mukka, G'.

Aye, I don't have many plants at all. Just thought if I get a good plant I'd like to keep it going rather than buy more seeds

Will they not thrive under t5s for a longer period of time?

It's all a matter of how long you wish them to take vegging

Often people using MH are after faster results but CFLs or T5s will do... they just take longer to get to the same state of growth

Ah that's a relief. No I'm not in a hurry to grow. I only want to use this tent to keep a few clones in so when I finish one grow I don't have to order more seeds and I can preserve strains I enjoy. Its actually better they stay small
