Default Answered: Ran out of pH down...

Hey everyone, so I’ve ordered some new ph down. But it won’t be here till Saturday... already left it a day since the last feed, so can’t really wait till Saturday. So I’m just wondering if they’ll be okay to have non pH feeds/water until my down arrives? Or is there a substitute? Have literally no money to get anything from shops though, only had enough for another bottle
    Any ideas appreciated

For single feeds you can use it . Ive done it before with apple cider vinegar

What is the ph of the feed your plants are on just now?
Lemon juice would bring ph down....but not sure how strong it is.
I wouldn't feed my plants in coco with a feed thats too much out the ph range.

Hey dude, I've grown my first grow using acetic acid at 5% (white vinegar) as ph down. Took a little more to get the pH down to the right level but does work.

Probably not the best but if you stuck thought I would make the suggestion

I had considered using vinegar, but usually takes around 8 drops of down to get my feeds to 5.8 so thought it might do em some damage with that much vinegar in the water... but on the other hand I’m pretty sure they’ll die if I can’t figure something out...

Perhaps foliar sprays are my answer? No feed in em, just water but at least they’ll get some water to keep them going until my set arrives... was dispatched today so hopefully not too long to go

If you still have the empty bottle half fill it with water and give it a shake slowly add to your feed solution. There may just be enough residue in the bottle to drop your Ph...

I done a lengthy grow (7 month veg time if I remember) and only ever used white vinegar to bring the ph levels down. I was worried about the end taist but it didn't effect the bud smell or taist at all. Give it a bash

That’ll be fun with no EC meter lol, I’ll give buds answer a go and then if that don’t work try the vinegar

Will give it a shot if the way bud said don’t work mate, would rather not over do the EC accidentally

From memory I was giving around 1.5ml of vinegar per 2lt of water, depending on you'er water it'll be different and after the nuts have went in too... just a guide line for you to go off

Sorry lads, my internets not worth the bill! I messaged my local hydro shop and explained that my tomato plants might die if they have to wait for the delivery, they got a bottle and half filled it for nothing so ended up with enough to see me through a few weeks, but luckily enough my delivery came today
