Can you not say that you'd like to use the loft as storage & would like some roof vents to the landlord?

Don't ask me, I have more idea of a granulator than a roof tile

BUT if it makes you uncomfortable then obviously best not to otherwise you'd be worrying all the time
    You are probably 100% right.
    I am probably being paranoid.

Ideally this is the way to go. It would probably only take 30 mins on the roof.
Just not sure if I'd be too paranoid.
    Your logic is 100% though

Right this one will be tricky without pictures lol.

If your new build mate I'm assuming the ridge will be open vented? if you look up inside the loft you will see the roof felt terminates 1" below the top of the truss. If you can get the hose to there mate and seal it some way it should exit the ridge without to much issue. Depending on lights it Will show up as suspicious on thermal though compared to neighbours.

Or if you can see backside of your fascia from inside the loft you could core exhausts out the soffit and cover with a vent grill.

If you can get a pic while inside your loft looking up at the ridge (apex of roof) and one right down at the eaves to see if you can vent into the soffit.
Over eaves vents are pretty common in new build now you should be ok venting into the soffit if you have them mate.

They have soffit vents that are a charm to install .
I have a cottage style roof and i dont have much place to exit other then the roof or soffit . Soffit vents are barely noticable . Especially the round flush types .

You squuezed you piping pretty bad there dude . Bet your getting 25-30% less airflow doing that
