    Default problems in nft

    hello all,

my grow is in its 5th week and the buds are coming along nicely. everything was super nice green in my room and then suddenly there was browning. Im guessing its nute burn but wanted to confirm with you guys and gals if im right in my diagnosis.

I was in a rush and mixed up my nutrients and somewhere along the line i must have given something a bit too much. I gave ionic bloom, cal mag and pk 13/14. the ph was 5.8 and i rushed off without checking the ec. I checked it the next day when i saw the browning and it was reading above ec 3.0. I have added plain water with a ph of 5.8 to bring the ec back down to 1.4.

Please be kind enough to have a look at the pictures and give me your thoughts.

    peace

Not overly sure mate, but think you might need to do a flush 3x the pot size, then feed a what you would normally, but I'd check it out first

i think i might just empty out reservoir and feed through plain water with ph 5.8 for a few days. other then the browning the plant is looking ok no drooping leaves or anything like that.

2 days of plain water then back to the normal nute regime i thinks.

    peace

little bit off topic but in your opinion how far along are they in your estimate?

like an idiot i did not write dates down and now im confused. The plant in the back looks done but im guessing they are hitting 5th week at the max 6. The big plant in the forefront of the pic im guessing 5th week and am planning to run until the 8th week.

your expert opinion is really appreciated guys and gals.

Hello mate. You would be much better off forgetting about obsessing over how many weeks etc....The seed packs are a rough guide only, not carved in stone. Simply put they are done when they are done, however long it takes and if you go by the trichs or even the pistils if you have no loupe, they are done when the trichs are at around 10-20% amber,(depending on what effect you want) whih usually means the pistils will be 90% brown. Hope this helps mate.
