It can be perceived to be addictive.
Case in point; Every time I had to go without pot I would get terrible stomach pains and nausea. It was so consistent that I thought they must be physical withdrawals.
I've been smoking pot for over 40 years. Twice, early on, I tried to "beat" it. Stayed off pot for over an agonizing six months. Both times. Only to give in and have all that suffering go away in ONE TOKE. Like a fricken light switch.
It was later that I found out that I wasn't addicted at all. I was self treating an undiagnosed case of Diverticulitis without knowing it.
Pot is a powerful analgesic, and we are drawn to it for good reasons. If it feels addictive, it's because our body is desperate for it. And it's always for good reason.

If you see a homeless person please don't walk by, say hello. Give them a word of encouragement. Treat them with dignity, and if you can, offer some help.
