Organic Nutrient Chart

Manures

Rabbit manure N= 2.4 P= 1.4 K= 0.6
comments- Most concentrated of animal manures in fresh form.

Cow manure (dairy) N= 0.6 P= 0.2 K= 0.5
comments- Often contains weed seeds, should be hot composted.

Steer manure N= 0.7 P= 0.3 K= 0.4
comments- Often contains weed seeds, should be hot composted if fresh.

Chicken manure N= 1.1 P= 0.8 K= 0.5
comments- Fast acting, breaks down quickest of all manures. Use carefully, may burn. Also, stinks like hell - composting definitely recommended.

Horse manure N= 0.7 P= 0.3 K= 0.6
comments- Medium breakdown time.

Duck manure N= 0.6 P= 1.4 K= 0.5

Sheep manure N= 0.7 P= 0.3 K= 0.9

Desert Bat Guano N= 8 P= 4 K= 1
comments- Also contains trace elements. Fast-acting, mix in soil or as tea (1 C guano to 5 gal. water).

Cave Bat Guano N= 3 P= 10 K= 1

Fossilized Seabird Guano N= 1 P= 10 K= 1

comments- Use in compost or work in soil several months before using. Usually slightly alkaline.

Fish Emulsion N= 4 P= 1 K= 1
comments- Also adds 5% sulfur. Good N source for seedlings, won't burn.

Kelp Meal N= 1 P= 0.5 K= 2.5
comments- Provides 60 trace elements, plus growth-promoting hormones and enzymes.

comments- Very fast acting and highly alkaline (usually used to raise pH). Contains many micronutrients.

comments- Contains 67% silicas and 19 trace minerals.

I have a question..i have always been a bit confused with the nutrients so what is the best N-P-K for veg? for Fl? I do know its better to have more P during Fl, but when i go to the store next week i wanna get the right kind of soil. There is soil that is 12-12-0 at the store that i wanna get. Would it be good to use for veg? I dont wanna burn the plant giving it too much..but i know right now my plant is just getting a ton of N and barely any P & K.

my experience tells me that ur gonna run into p defieneccy soon and using soil with nutrients will only help for a short while

hi.......great bit of info but ive got a few questions to ask if you dont mind...i was wondering when making a soil mix how much dry ferts to use its not getting the products wich is the problem its how much to give.....we can all throw hand fulls of organic ferts in to are soil but its the correct amouts that iam after and thats where iam going wrong......i,e if my soil mix is 20L soil 4L perlite 2L worm castings how much dry ferts should i add 1 tbl spoon or 2 of i,e bat guano /bone meal /fish blood an bones/garden lime/chicken manure and so on you get my drift?????????IF anyone can help please do

This is interesting for seedlings how would i incorperate this in with either my coco or my soil (also for all you advanced soil growers out there whats the best soil to start seedlings off in anyway????)

comments- The solution needs to be diluted 15 - 20 times with water before application in the garden, giving N.P.K. = 0.5 : 0.4 : 3.8 - a high potash feed + trace minerals.

comments- The exact nutrient content depends on the food consumption, Nitrogen readily available, use fresh, dilute with water from 50/50 to 10/1

I second that! I used casting from the very start and every so often I will still sprinkle some on top of the soil and whenever I water them, just let it soke in. I don't know if this is a good thing to do or not but it's working for me.

When I first planted, I just added to the soil and now just sprinkle on the top.

what is this nutrient calculator of which you speak? lol im trying to start a organic grow for an auto flowering strain, but i can only find nuts for autos that are very unorganic. can anyone help?

I just ordered some comfrey seeds *^^* My plan is to germinate some, then plant in smaller pots and then plant somewhere in nearby forest, because info says it grows well in the climate here! (And the internet is full of info, how to turn it into super fertilizer) I think i just found my flowering organic fertilizer *^^*
