Im a little confused. This is my second go at growing hydro. The first grow was pretty good considering I had no meters but I kept the ph in check. This time I have tds meter, but Im confused on the meter themselves.I thought that tds stood for total dissoved solids,I did know that it was a measserment of the nutes though. The ppm i understand that,I dont understand is if the two can be converted over on a chart like the ec,cf and tds.
    ex.

    mS-cm(sqared) EC CF PPM500(TDS) PPM(700)
    1.0 1.0 10 500 700
    1.1 1.0 11 550 770
    1.2 1.2 12 600 840
And if this is true you only need two meters PH and tds Right?

I would say thats the only 2 nute meters you need, possibly a thermometer to measure water temp,if you heating the nute solution.
Here is a good little ec,cf,tds calc

keep it between 5.5 and 6.5 and u will be sweet. i grow in coco now and again for something dif and it gives u a little room for mistakes. u only need 2 meters ph and either tds or ec ! good luck
