Question When do you start counting flower period?

I've always been under the impression that when refering to the flowering time, the No of weeks starts when you flip to 12/12. Just been doing some reading and it appears I may have got it wrong and that it begins when they first show pistils?

    Anyone?

Yip. Always count from 1st pistils (usually a week into 12/12).

SO. An 8 week flowering indie will finish 9 weeks after 12/12 switch. In an ideal world..

    I count from when I flick to 12/12 ,
example : sensi seeds superskunk says 45-50 days which is 6 1/2 - 7 weeks and the the trichs , hairs and buds are always ready in 6 1/2 weeks from the switch over.

The reason (especially for hydro) is so you have an idea when to flush at the end.

I usually just add over a week onto flowering times if you put em in early..

For example my nino should be ready in 55 days, and when there banged in early from seed they take 67 days... Thats 12 days to start flowering after the flip...
