Growing Big Bang Plants. First Crop.

Hello, The names ryan. I have very little knowledge and was hoping people of thc talk could help. I want to grow some big bang not allot only about 5 plants. Can you please tell me the most suitable equipment to purchase to do my first grow. I am growing it indoors in my bedroom. I hope this is enough info for you to help me! Thanks a million!

Equipment i know i need....

Ph Tester
Ph Up/Down
Soil ( What is the best kind )
Feeds ( What should i use )
Seeds
Light ( Are UFO LED lights ok for this plant? )
Pots

What else do i need thats all i can think of or remember from what i have been told.

You can probably do without a PH tester, most people seem to use John Innes 1, 2 & 3 composts, for orginic growing you'll want the Bio-Bizz range: Grow, Bloom and Top Max. As for lights if you can't go with HPS then CFL's are a very good substitute, I've never used LED's so can't comment on them. If you haven't got a spare cupboard you'll also need a grow tent and extractor fan kit to control the smell, a humidity meter/thermometer hope that helps.

For 5 plants mate you really could do with a HPS light, either 400or 600w will do the job nicely.
If you plan to use compost then don't worry about the PH as the soil will keep it in check.
Compost - down to choice mate, but the John Innes 1,2,3 range is recommended by most growers.
Food - again loads of choices mate, but simple tomato food and seaweed extract will give just as good results as any expensive, fancy brands.

You will need some sort of extraction too mate to expel stale hot air and to keep the temperatures down in the grow room, also a fan to circulate fresh air is essential.

If you have a good read through the Novice section it will give you lots of pointers mate.

That is very usefull stuff!!!!! Just a matter of intrest here, It's going to be in a cupboard you said extractor fans? would i possible for me to cut a hole in the door and place a fan in the cirle i cut out and pushing the hot air into the bedroom which will have the window open? will that work? thanks...

if growing in a cupboard yeah just cut a hole at the top with a pc fan (out of a computer tower) in the hole blowing out ...if u can get 2 put one at bottom blowing in aswell
u need
1 x hps light 400w or 600w with balaist and shade/300w cfl dual spec (50 quid off ebay)
use soil mate and no need for ph up or down or ph tester
i use canna vega for veg period and canna florres for flower period
veg period u need ur light on at least 18 hours a day 18 on and 6 off is ok
u veg a plant from the beginning and then when its quite big u switch to flower
flower period is lights 12 hours on 12 hours off
plants usually finish in around 8 weeks..just chech how long to flower on breeders packaging
feed ur plants with water and nutrients every 3 days around 2l of water each plant once they get knee high ish

Ok other posts say that i need ph tester and stuff to get it right. What about watering from seed? Do i use tap water? what temp does it need to be? a mate of mine who grows it says that he leave it over night in the room that its getting done in so it goes to room temp is this right? and he said that seedlings takes 2 weeks, Veg takes 7 and flowering for 6. His crops taste really good and give a good high. If i where to get a ph tester what is the best ph for each stage. thanks allot!

yeah that sound good mate.btw you can flower straight from seed or veg for as long as you like if you have lights on 18 on 6 off,when you change to 12 on and 12 off it will start to but in a few weeks if not earlier.plants have a different range of time to flower.As for the water,I usually leave it in the tent overnight until i see small bubbles or keep it at room temperature,plants don't really like water too cold or too warm.
Tap water is fine,its what I use all the time,have no idea what PH it is,don't really care,my plants seem to be doing ok as was my last grow.

ok what sort of yeild would i get if i where to veg for 11 weeks and flower for 9? that is what i am hoping to be doing. But i want the most yeild as i possibly can in the less time i can. Any info on yeild is very helpfull to me. Thanks in advance.

if you want more bud in less time then growing hydro is what your looking for, but if you dont mind shitty fingernails and bags of horse poo in your house then cool lol

more bud generally mean more wattage mate which in turn means more heat which in turn means more extraction which all means (hopefully) a perfect environment and then more bud.

another option if your hell bent on yeild is a scrog? if you dont know what that is click the scrog team link in my sig plenty of info there.

is veging for 11 weeks gonna get me a high yeild and flower for 9? or will that get me a bit for like a single skinner haha. im like such a noob but this forum has learned me a shitload a can act smart tae the lads..... until i grow it n fuck it n they will be wanting tae kill me :|

Hes just an eager newb.
Many folk sort there friends out helps with the leccy bills.
Its just that some of us have the sense to keep that info to ourselves

Like Cock says Ryan.no talk of dealing this is a growing forum.
But to answer your question the holy grail in growing seems to be the 1 gram a watt target.
Now if you do everything right, have the right enviroment/strain etc this can be achieved, so you would be looking at just over 20oz for that 600w you have in mind.
Its highly unlikely you will achieve this though.I havnt hit this yet but Im bloody well trying.
A good result would be half that amount for what you have in mind and being your first grow and all that.
So would 10 oz suffice??
