How much of an issue is smell

Hi guys im planning my first grow!

My friend and i have found what we think is a good place. Its on the edge of a train track, there is a road about 20 meters away which is a 60 mph zone so cars will be going by pretty quick. There is no footpath on 'our' side of the road but there is on the other. It would be about 30-35 meters away.

I was wondering will smell be an issue when they begin to flower?

The first seeds we have are 5x cheese feminised

we have three in pots which are coming on great and we will be prepping the site this weekend.

Would a pick help??

I wouldn't worry about the smell so much as I would about someone seeing them. 30 meters away isn't too far, not for someone who is out looking for plots, like the police or people out to rip you off. I walk in the woods a lot, where I live in Europe, especially in the fall, when the plants will be about ready to harvest. I always take binoculars and if I spot plants, I check them out, if it looks good, I will take a few tops to try, but leave the rest for the grower. I grow my own, out and indoor, and would hope someone would leave mine too. Also, how often does the train go by and how fast? If it is too close to the tracks, that could be a problem. I can spot plants along the highway when I am driving, with no problem, at 80 miles an hour. There is a lot of wild pot grows in Austria and Hungary and I can spot it a mile away. Nothing looks as much like a Christmas Tree as a Cannabis plant!
