So here's my set up and we're approaching week 3 of these mothers being under a 600w light with 18hrs on, 6hrs off. They're growing well, do i keep them in those pots (7") and will i need to stake them as the fan blows them round a bit...
thanks

Oh, I see! nope, I did have it closer but it got so hot (>40 degrees) that I thought I might burn them. They're in a shed with the windows open so temp is usually between 30-38 for the plants at that distance with the fan on
The pots its hard to tell from the pics but they look on the small side to me. Should be around the 15 litre mark for final pots. Do you have a spare one? If so fill it with water to see what they are but they only look around 7 litre from the pics.
The temps are a little on the high side which we are all suffering with to an extent but your min is 30, thats most peoples max. I creep up to about 32 on really hot days but generally 30 or under.
The reason for your temp problems from what I can see is, you think the oscilating fan is for cooling. It isn't, its purely for circulation of the air in the room and to strengthen the stem.
I know you have the window open but if you want your setup to be the best it can you should sort out some decent ventilation. With a 600 you should be looking at a 6" fan with carbon filter for extraction and a 4" for intake. That should see your temps down to between 20-30 which means more better bud and less chance of stress which can cause hermies and generally just won't grow as well as it should.
EDIT: Just seen your last post, the light should DEFINATELY be over the plants otherwise whats the point in having a 600? Sort some proper fans out mate, will mean the difference between yielding quarters and several ounces

ok cool, so i've got the light hanging over the top of them, temp control is tough but I think I can keep it under 30 until my ex. fan arrives from ebay
if you have a clip on fan - attatch it to the shade opposite the E40 holder - it may help
