the white fluffy stuff is the stuff you get in pillows it was only to damped the sucking sound as for the blue blanket thats over the fan so really the fan is not drawing any harder that it would be hanging insdie a tent

That white fluffy stuff (Hollow silicon)is used in some fish tank filters sucking in air through it,they never suffer when you put it in.
the same should be for blowing out as sucking in,why does that sound like something off a carry on film.

    is this setup for intake?
i dont get the last picture.is everything sealed, normal one ended filter and the highest bit of ducting allows for air release if extracting or air to be sucked into the sealed box?
if extracting is there much of a difference between the second last picture and the last would piling more cotton or blankets on top be just as effective

not a bad idea if you fan has that bit extra power that the modded box makes it lose, the surface area on the cf is telling you that you need a bigger intake or you will lose power when it sucks air into that little ducting hole but not much, but a loss for sure ,
it has given me a idea for sth veey simluar but with a bigger hole for the air to get in to the box a god way to lose the woosh from the cf father good idea!
