    Default Light changing help please?

    Hey guys.
I'm new in here so a big peace to you all.
I'm after some advice on my situation if you will.
at the mo i am running a box standards 600w sodium bulb.I have put them straight on to flower 12/12 as i usaully do.
    I am now wanting to switch my bulb to(Grow Light Bulb/red spectrum /Lamp 250W 8U 2700K / 6400K E40 CFL).
would it be safe to do this or is it a risk?
    Big Thanks in advance.

    Peace

I hope you're not going to put your new cfl into the hps e40 fitting? those are for HID (high density discharge) bulbs/hps and MH..They are not for CFLS...CFL has their own ballasts..

No mate,I got the right fittings for thm.
What i want to do is get rid of the the soduim bulb and fitting altogether and then put these others in replace of them.
I just wondering if it would harm them at all?
    cheers

Why do you want to swap 600w of HPS for 250W? Sodium is red spec.
