is it safe buying from ebay?

Hi guys, as a newby to this wonderful hobby of ours, there`s a few bits and bobs I still need to acquire.
The local grow shop doesn`t have any of the accessories needed for the job. So I wondered if it`s safe to use ebay. I wouldn`t buy from any of the dedicated grow shops online, but thought about using shops that are non specific, but sell goods that can be used in cultivation.
I suppose what I need to know is what`s the chance of being targeted as a grower from what I buy from a general retailer using a credit card? Up to this point I`ve always used cash for my purchases but the choice of products available through ebay is sooo tempting! what do yer think fellas?

no problems, you could be buying to sell on, for a present, for someone else, or even growing Orchids if its that obviouse, i buy chilli and pepper seeds off ebay for about £2 everytime i stock up on cheapies....

Thanks for the reply Bud. Maybe I`m being over cautious but it`s nice to get a bit of re-assurance from guys in the know, so to speak. Respect.

Being over cautious is the way forward, but i think you will be fine ordering via your credit card over ebay. Only problem I can see with using your credit card is if you end up getting busted they can link all the stuff you buy but they will already have siezed your farm by that point. Buying a few chilli seeds at the same time is a good idea.

Yes buying from e-bay is fine just remember to set an account and use paypal and you cant get ripped off and deliveries are discreet as well as your c/card statement. Its very safe and you cant get ripped off. My girl uses it all the time/daily and i have bought stuff from there with no problems at all. Its a big company and safe to buy and sell from and nothing will be traced back to you and i have made many a buy from there with no problem.
(remember and use paypal).

why not have another ebay account....then set it to private..then no one can see wot your buying...a private account cant sell,,only buy..job done...(i have 4 fleabay accounts)
