    Question switching to 12/12 ???

    Hey everyone :-)

Ok my girls been in veg for nearly 4 weeks now and are around 20 inches in height, so need to switch to 12/12.

They have been on 24/24 and fed half strength plagron grow.

From what I have read it should be fine to do a switch to 12/12 with a transitional period. anyone agree with this??

My main problem right now is nutrients. what would you recomend for nutrients as i know alot of growers on here add a little grow and bloom.

    any advice welcome :-)

Just done this with mine but hard to tell if it's made a difference yet... the plant is a clone taken from the mother when it was 2 weeks into flowering (the first lot of cuttings I did while in veg weren't very good) so it's been ready to flower since it went into veg anyway! It's definitely started showing signs of proper flowering a few days sooner than it's mum did.

The reason for the period of darkness is that light kills the hormone that promotes flowering... by giving it a longer than usual night period before switching to 12/12, you're letting the flowering hormone build up. I'll definitely be doing it again on the next grow. In fact, I was wondering how long a plant could go without light before it got too stressed, to allow the hormone to build up even more.
