found tiny white bugs ?

ive seen tiny little white bugs on and just under the surface of my soil they cant be any bigger than a lil red money spider im a 1st tiem grower so any help or advice would be greatly appreciated it only ever seems to be if the soil is dry that u can see them wot could they be and wot should i do.......please help

ive just been told by a friend that they are compost mite could this be true

fungus gnat larvae mate! they eat at the root system! most soil growers get this! youll need sticky pads for the airbourne adults
youll have to treat the soil with some sort of gnat off solution, i also cover the soil with a layer of sharp sand! stops the adults
laying their eggs! therfor breaking the breeding cycle aww and i cup of suger water also kills the adults good luck

well i cant get the gnat off now until tomorrow so will it be ok untill then or is there anything i can do about it

yes mate! ive never seen the full effects of these larvae! but a few days will be fine! also leave the soil dry out as much
as possible without harming the plants, they thrive in wet soil.

i only see them when the soil dry so hwy do the go away wen i feed the plant and the soil wet

gnat off doesnt feed the plant.. it coats the roots in a form of bug killer! when the larvae feed they die, therfor breaking the breeding cycle
my diagnoses of from what ive seen before, white bugs in soil most commonly are gnat larvae! i have them myself! every grow :@

i'll go and get it 1st thing tomorrow ive bin looking on google images at fungus gnats and its just showing pics ov flies and magot looking things if i repot to coco would that also help get rid ov them after i put gnat off on the there due to be repotted soon as there only in the 1st small pot atm

this is a pic ov google but ive circled wot the bug that looks like the 1 i found
