    Default Grinders: Why

OK it seems to me that almost everyone uses a grinder for their bud.
My son and all his mates and most people on the forum (as far as I can tell).

So what's wrong with fingers then, they gone out of fashion or something. Personally I always use my fingers to break up the bud, love to 'feel' the texture, sniff me fingers and lick them when finished.

As you all know I'm a bit of an old git but surely there must be someone apart from me that enjoys the tactile experience of bud in your fingers.

    All good things

I use scissors and a small glass. Grinders aren't all that..

It's just not as efficient, in my experience at least. I get where you're coming from though.

From the fingers to the mouth, I wouldn't waste any Jack, best to wash your hands before rolling though (never know where they might have been)

i have always used a grinder
when my grinder is not about however im happy to use my fingers
i personally prefer a grinder as the smell is awesome! and mine has a pollen catcher on the bottom which collects hash, it doesnt collect loads and leaves a fair bit on the bud however it is nice after a bad day to roll a big spliff and then throw the hash in on top of the green or when im having trouble sleeping especially.
also it makes the whole skinning up procedure that much quicker because it takes about 3 secs to grind up a nice dry bud
if you were to think about getting one id say it is definitely worth investing, mine cost me 25quid and have had it for three years, i tend to clean it once a month with a paintbrush, which always promises a nice spliff of hash and ensures that it wont stick meaniong this grinder could last me a lifetime

A grinder does exactly that, grinds the bud into smaller lighter pieces, therefore burning more easily and exposing more THC, CDB's etc to the heat over a larger surface area. Also, if you have a grinder that has a mesh, you get to gather the kief.

Hope that makes sense, bit at present.

Made sense to me anyway. lol

I used to use scissors or just break bits off and did this for years. The missus bought me a cheapo plastic grinder about 9 or 10 years ago and i haven't looked back since. I now use a Grassleaf 5-piece grinder which not only grinds the weed up great, but also catches all the trichomes etc in the bottom which can be pressed into nice hash or just sprinkled in a joint when you want a nice potent smoke.

i have a good few grinders kicking about, can't remember the last time i used one. some of my mates request it when they come round but i can never be fudged! i quite like to 'feel' the bud as i rip it apart as well, usually roll anything left on my fingers into little balls and ping it in the spliff/bowl
