Can you grow auto flowering strains on 12/12?
Would they mature at the same rate?
Is the yield worth it?
OR
Could I put them on 12/12 for two weeks then switch to 18/6 or 20/4?
Thanks

why on earth would you want to do that? Autos work best on 18/6 or 20/4
tommorow il shave my balls and put my cock through a warm apple pie... mmmmmmmhhhhhooooooh
Because I need to get something started due to time constraints and my other plants are in flower.
I also have house viewing all the time so need the light of during most of the day.
its dodgy doing a grow while you got house viewings imo
personally i would wait until you can go 18/6

yes you can grow them on 12/12, they may not yield as much and will probably stretch a fair bit more. changing back to a veg cycle after a bit should be fine as long as you trust the breeder, i've had a fair few 'autos' that weren't strictly auto at all.

What Tay said. I've started them on 12/12 before and have finished them on 12/12. I've just never gone 12/12 from start to finish in 1 grow.

Thanks for the help. Anyone else have any experience of it?
I'm also wondering if it is work getting a cfl to veg them under instead of the 400w?
This could mean I could build a separate area and perhaps save on leccy bill.
well the thing about autos is, you only get a couple of weeks of veg so providing the perfect environment is essential at the beginning of their life if you want a decent yield. (especially since they're on 12/12) putting them straight into their final pots from the get go and getting as much light on them as possible is the only way to ensure they reach a decent size before they start flowering.

If you can - and i'm not sure if your circumstances allow,
I would give them as much light as possible in the first few weeks - 24 hours if you can - to maximise the tiny seedling/veg stage/pre-flower stretch etc,
then flip to 12/12
In flower I have seen AF's down to 16/8 with no real losses in size and yield.
I currently have some (got too many females) on 10/14 and they are doing fine under a 400w hps (cutting down on electricity, as wasn't planning to have two spaces going, but couldn't cull them either)
They are not as advanced as their sisters, on 18/6 under 600w but thats to be expected.
Some good advice from the people above though.
Cheers, Mitch

Cheers for the help.
I don't think they are going to be worth while on 12/12 because getting some good growth in the first weeks seams vital to getting a reasonable yield.
The problem is the grow is limited by time (hence the need for AF) and the almost daily house viewing ( hence the need to be 12/12).
