I think the more light you can give at the start is important. But these are autos so any amount of light will give you some thing just not as much as if you were to 18/6 them. I'm sure 12/12 will be fine
OOOOO my fingers are sooo sticky.

I had to switch my auto to 12/12 from 18/6 as the other plants in the room wasn't auto flowering, but it seems to be doing fine (check my album) it wont yield as much but never mind will still be a nice smoke! as people above said it will do better under more light

yes u can do them on 12/12 but u will not get as much out of it tho it shouldnt effect it to much, and u could put them under a cfl but ,make sure it is a blue spectrum bulb or u can put the blue in with the 400 as they will like the extra blue light,,autos do like the blue spectrum as it helps with vegging,as they flower straight away they will like the blue so they can almost veg and flower at the same tiome,,

I'm also wondering if it is work getting a cfl to veg them under instead of the 400w?
This could mean I could build a separate area and perhaps save on leccy bill.

we are currently doing 1 auto and 3 regular plants, they all went 18/6 for the first 30 days and have been on 12/12 for the past 21 days and the auto is 4 feet tall and loaded, I am hoping to get 2 ounces from her...to last untill the others are done
