Seedling First Time Help

Hello guys,
this is my first time ever,
the seeds are 5 fem bbc,
im using nft,
I planted these seeds about 3 days ago and am worried they have died because they have gone like match sticks?
can anyone please please help?
can i put them straight into the rockwool now that they have rooted out of the bottom?
should i sock rockwool in pH 5.8 distilled water?
then is it time for lights straight after?
would really appreciate some help or advice.

You should soak the rock-wool in ph 5.5 first then put them in. A lot of people using rock-wool germinate first in water or tissue or like me straight into root riot cubes then put them in the ph soaked wool.
I like to get mine under the lights early, as I plant straight into the cubes as soon as they pop up they go under a cfl.

All I can say is you may need your light closer, cause they are stretching a bit. What light are you using?

not at all. Just get them under tomorrow. What light will you be using. This is important to know, this'll determine how close you can have your lights to prevent any more stretch and hep it bulk up.

Glad to help out. 250w MH bulb for veg, very good choice.

Depending on what reflector you use try and keep it about a foot or more above as they are seedlings still. Then move close as they get bigger and stronger. Use your hand to determine how far. Put the back of your hand below the light and mov it up and down so you can find where it isn't too hot for them, so if it feels pretty hot after 30 seconds, move the light a bit higher, but you don't want it too far.
The MH bulb will definately give good results though and good growth as opposed to cfl lights. Have you got your light now?

I use a parabolic reflector with a 400w MH and mine sits pretty low above. But with these reflectors you can do so due to the way the bulb is positioned.
