    Good to hear G-man. lol.

I have a friend with a wilma 8pot so am currently looking up the pro's and con's of both. What are your thoughts on the wilma?
    Cheers

i cant comment bro i haven't use one it wont suit my growing they are uniform rows aren't they? drip or f & d i would think they have the explosive early growth the active hydro has they have a big res dont they? it will make for easy watering but i think having to water each plant makes you more aware of what going on , well it does after you have had a problem and know to look for it! if i hadn't had to get in amongst them i wouldn't of seen the mass of mites i've just had lol

EC goes up, PH goes down = Plants require less nutrients
EC goes down, PH goes up = Plants require more nutrients
EC stable, PH stable = Spot on

If using coco I would recommend other methods than "donuting" using perlite (I have tried this before and the perlite "donut" smells rank after a week or 2 )

Hand watering is appropriate since it can be done every 1-2 days, or if you're really lazy/away for a few days drippers/run-off trays is a nice way to go .

im suprised at that with the perlite clay balls or even gravel is fine anything to keep the coco out of the res i will be using perlite and clay balls

donuting? that your word for the filling of the res yes? ive not seen anyone else say this why do you think it smelt? was it because you were watering every day and it got to wet? its possible ive seem some one say that?
