Default PH Down vs Vinegar. Vinegar wins for me.

    Hi Guys

Some while back I recall reading something about using vinegar to bring the PH down so when I built my cloner and once I got it sussed I had 90 - 100% success rate using vinegar. I mentioned this in a thread some while ago and was advised to get some PH Down. So I eventually did.

The next 3 attempts at cloning had a less than 50% success and took over 2 weeks to root, by which time the cuttings were totally starved and only just made it.

So, last week I took some of the lower branches off a Church I have just 1 week in flower n decided to root em - using Vinegar. And guess what? Rooted in 6 days, cuttings really healthy looking.

do you mean you dip the clone in vinegar? i did use vinegar to lower the ph in my water but found it not to be to stable, so i just use lemon juice now. 30p for a plastic lemon cant go wrong there. i also use bicarb to raise ph.
